![]() ![]() Re-installed BS and went through the root process just like before (only takes me about 5 minutes now!) but rootcheck now says I don't have root. Since then I ended up doing a full re-install of windows (for other reasons). Was pretty happy with it considering I've never touched linux/android 'till then! Rootcheck said I had root, everything worked. Enjoy your rooted BS.!Ī couple weeks ago, I followed the instructions for rooting BS (manual method) and it went without a hitch. Extract the files from the zip, and copy Root.fs and Initrd.img from it to C:\ProgramData\Bluestacks\Android they are located in C:\ProgramData\Bluestacks\Androidģ. Rename Initrd.img and Root.fs to something else. Go to C:\Program Files\Bluestacks (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Bluestacks if you have 圆4bit), and dobleclick on HD-Quit.exe, this will close BS.Ģ. ![]() system is ReadWrite, (Run Root Explorer and change it from RO to RW). Su and busybox are in /system/xbin and /system/bin system partition is 500MB, there is around 340 MB free space on this partition. and Initrd.img files, these files will root your BS up to v. ![]()
